During a fun-filled chat with Jimmy Fallon on The Late Show, the Israeli actress known as ‘Wonder Woman’ happily gave her seal of approval to a delicious chocolate and peanut butter treat.
Gal Gadot, the Israeli actress famous for her role as Wonder Woman in Hollywood’s superhero flick, recently tried a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. During the interview, Fallon also discussed the upcoming DC comics universe film featuring Gadot and chatted about her six-year-old daughter Alma, who apparently isn’t very impressed with her mother’s superhero status. The interview also touched on Israeli culture, including an Israeli chocolate bar suggested by Gadot and Halloween festivities in the US.
The speaker expressed her amusement about American holidays, stating that they are fascinating yet bizarre. She highlighted how the holidays revolve around excessive consumption of goods, where people buy presents during Christmas and tons of candy during Halloween. The speaker also commented on how it’s considered acceptable to send children to strangers’ homes to collect candy. Her words drew laughter from the audience, as she went ahead to reveal how her daughter finds Halloween to be the best holiday. Gadot then proceeded to introduce Fallon to the famous Israeli chocolate bar known as “Shokolad Para” or “cow chocolate.” It is a term used in Israel to refer to milk chocolate and specifically refers to the Elite brand of chocolate bars wrapped in red. Fallon even showcased the variety of Shokolad Para that has popping candy inside, making the popping sound audible to the audience by leaning closer to his microphone.
During her appearance on The Late Show with Jimmy Fallon on October 6, 2017, Israeli actress Gal Gadot had the opportunity to try a classic American candy – Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. Fallon offered the treat to Gadot, who had never tasted it before. After trying it for the first time, she expressed her love for peanut butter and gave a thumbs up to the audience. Just two days later, Gadot opened the second episode of Saturday Night Live’s 43rd season with a humorous Hebrew monologue poking fun at the writers who continuously suggested having her eat hummus in every sketch.
Gadot, the guest host of a late-night program, joked about her accent and expressed her excitement about making her debut on the show. The episode was also significant as it marked the first time it was broadcast live in Israel. In her native Hebrew, Gadot warned her friends and family back home that the writers on the show clearly knew nothing about Israel, as they kept portraying her eating hummus in every sketch. Other sketches involved Gadot impersonating Kendall Jenner and struggling through a blind date with OJ Simpson. In a spoof of Wonder Woman, she locked lips with SNL regular Kate McKinnon. The show began with a tribute to Tom Petty and the Las Vegas shooting.
