Nicki Minaj was not present but still managed to win three awards including best song, best hip-hop, and a new category called super freaky girl. The night was filled with other talented performers, such as Ava Max who stunned the crowd with her dazzling diamond outfit and Tate McRae who performed a medley of her top hits.
During the event, 17 categories that are gender-neutral were announced and voted for by fans. The show was aired from the PSD Bank Dome and will be viewed in over 170 nations.
